(she/they) is a photographer and people gatherer hailing from San Francisco. having lived in the bay, NYC and residing now in Chicago their work is a testament to the way people come together. MK’s photography ranges in digital and film focusing on portraiture and live events which is extended in their role as as event coordinator of DYKE NITE. this self-started event creates safe gatherings for the queer community to come together in joy and rest. MK is a fashion icon and a joy to joke with.
mk’s attention to a persons details; the way someone moves and holds themselves. i have seen myself in quick film shots they’ve taken of me that have pushed me deeper into identity. the way mk moves within their community is inspired as they are truly connecting with people. MK has a knack for welcoming those they meet into their life with the intention of knowing who you are. they are dedicated to their craft, their friends and themselves. a true friend of mine i would recommend everyday until there are no more.

that Zander has always been an in the moment person. he has this way of connecting with people, meeting them where they’re to create friendships within his community and beyond. combined with his passion to capture them beautifully is one of my favorite things about him. he has a sense of relaxation that i have found helpful when working weddings together. it feels very grounding when the day can be hectic.
